Raminder Sandhu

Raminder Sandhu joined the CESMII technical team as Program Manager in June of 2021. In this role, he oversees the planning, implementation, and management of smart manufacturing research projects.

Raminder's Background

Raminder has extensive experience in engineering, new product design and development, product marketing and product management, primarily in manufacturing automation. Raminder’s technical background includes working with manufacturers on implementing robotics, machine vision and other manufacturing automation tools. This included managing the entire product life cycle from defining product roadmaps to product design, development, marketing, and delivery.

Prior to joining CESMII, Raminder was the Robotics Product Manager at CMTC, where he advised California manufacturers in the MEP (Manufacturing Extension Partnership) network. In his role as Robotics Product Manager, Raminder also provided guidance to the Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) Institute, providing technical oversight on research proposals submitted to ARM. Raminder holds an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a B.Sc. (Honors) in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
